About my whitecollarfic links
Dec. 23rd, 2010 08:21 amMy system of warnings for spoilers has evolved some, since I began doing this. Here is the code I use:
1. I copy from the announcement post whatever spoiler warnings the author/creator has used.
2. If the author/creator doesn’t even address whether spoilers are in the work, I say, “None listed.”
3. If someone posts meta or other non-fic announcements, I read them and report back here saying, “non-spoilery,” assuming that applies.
4. If the announcement post itself contains spoilers (maybe in the summary, or in the notes), I will warn for that in big bold letters, so you can avoid clicking my link if you choose.
5. When stories are not put under a link or a cut, I will say so, just because. You never know what you might accidentally see while scrolling.
If you should read a story that does have episode spoilers, even for old episodes, where the author failed to say so, please comment to my post about it so I can edit. I’d like to keep even old ficlink posts accurate.
Does anyone want to do this for a different comm? And can anyone take over doing
whitecollarfic during two weeks in January when I am AFK?
Thanks. I now return you to our regularly scheduled programming.
